Sunil Mathur Appointed Chairman of Siemens Energy India
Siemens Energy India Limited, the newly independent entity formed following the demerger of Siemens Limited’s Energy business, has announced its new Board of Directors.
At the Board meeting held on March 25, Sunil Mathur, the Managing Director and CEO of Siemens Limited and Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of Siemens Energy India, was appointed as the Chairman of the newly formed Board.
Guilherme Mendonca, former Head of Siemens Limited’s Energy Business, has been named the Managing Director and CEO of Siemens Energy India. Harish Shekar, who previously served as the Finance Head of Siemens Limited’s Energy Business, has been appointed as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer.
The company also welcomed Ketan Dalal, founder of tax consultancy firm Katalyst Advisors; Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, a retired IPS officer; and Swati Salgaocar, Director at Vimson Group, as Independent Directors.
Additionally, the Board appointed Karl-Heinz Seibert, Corporate Vice President and Head of Mergers, Acquisitions and Post Closing Management at Siemens AG; Dr. Juergen Wagner, Corporate Financial Controller and Chief Accountant at Siemens AG; and Tim Holt, Member of the Executive Board and Labor Director at Siemens Energy AG, as Non-Executive Non-Independent Directors.
The company also announced that Ketan Thaker, Ketan Thaker, who had been a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director since February 2024, stepped down from his role effective April 1, 2025.
