Taiwan Excellence Showcases AI-Powered Solutions for Smart Manufacturing at Automation Expo 2026

As India advances its smart manufacturing ambitions, Taiwan is strengthening its role as a technology partner by bringing one of its largest industrial technology showcases to the country. At Automation Expo 2026, Taiwan Excellence, an initiative of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), presented AI-powered industrial solutions designed to support India’s next phase of manufacturing growth.

The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion was inaugurated by Homer Chang, Director General, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Mumbai, in the presence of representatives from leading industry associations, manufacturing companies and technology partners. The pavilion features 22 award-winning Taiwanese brands showcasing more than 55 innovations across AI Edge Computing, Robotics & Smart Automation and Industrial Equipment & Components.

A key highlight of the opening day was the Taiwan Excellence Product Launch, themed “Building Sustainable Manufacturing with Taiwan’s Adaptive Solutions.” HIWIN, IBASE, SINTRONES and SYNTEC unveiled their latest industrial solutions, demonstrating practical applications of AI and automation to improve productivity, minimise downtime and enable more intelligent factory operations.

The pavilion also featured technologies from leading Taiwanese companies, including AAEON, ADATA Industrial, Advantech, APLEX, Campro, FATEK, Getac, HIWIN, IBASE, ICP DAS, Jumbo Laser, KSS, Lanner, MCM, PLANET, Premio, Shuttle, SINTRONES, SYNTEC, TBI Motion, TOYO, and Winmate. AI Edge Computing emerged as a key area of interest among visitors on the opening day, highlighting the increasing focus on real-time analytics, predictive maintenance and intelligent factory operations.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Homer Chang said, “India is one of the world’s fastest-growing manufacturing markets, and Taiwan is committed to strengthening technology partnerships through its expertise in industrial automation. Bilateral trade between India and Taiwan exceeded US$12 billion in 2025, and as collaboration expands into advanced manufacturing technologies, we see significant opportunities to deepen partnerships and support India’s smart manufacturing ambitions.”
