Exclusive: WIKA India’s Growth Vision with Gaurav Bawa

WIKA India has set an ambitious growth roadmap, aiming to double its turnover every three to four years by strengthening its manufacturing footprint, expanding into emerging industries and accelerating technology localization. The strategy was outlined by Gaurav Bawa, Senior Vice President, WIKA India, during an interaction with mojo4industry at Automation Expo 2026, where the company also showcased its latest industrial measurement and instrumentation solutions.

Strong Growth Momentum
Reflecting on the company’s journey, Bawa said WIKA India has witnessed a significant transformation over the past decade. “About 9–10 years back we were growing at a low single-digit rate. Today we are in high double digits year after year,” he said, attributing the growth to a clear business strategy aligned with WIKA’s global vision, continuous innovation and investments in high-growth market segments.

Localization Driving Competitiveness
A key pillar of WIKA India’s growth has been localization. With technology transfer and manufacturing support from WIKA’s global business units, India has become a major manufacturing base for the company.

“Today, most of the WIKA portfolio available worldwide is manufactured in India,” Bawa said. He added that local manufacturing has strengthened WIKA’s competitiveness while supporting the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative and enabling the company to serve both domestic and global markets more effectively.

Expanding into Emerging Markets
While WIKA continues to maintain a strong presence in traditional sectors such as oil & gas, the company is increasingly focusing on high-growth industries including hydrogen, semiconductors, infrastructure, food processing and pharmaceuticals.

“For hydrogen, from generation to storage, transportation and dispensing, WIKA has a complete solution portfolio ready. When the market is ready, we are ready,” Bawa said, adding that the company has also prepared its semiconductor solutions well ahead of the industry’s rapid expansion in India.

Investing for Future Capacity
To support long-term demand, WIKA continues to invest in expanding its manufacturing capabilities across India. The company currently operates four manufacturing facilities with sufficient infrastructure to support future capacity expansion.

“Some of our plants can more than double or even triple their current capacity. We continue to invest in new product lines and localized manufacturing because we are very committed to the India market,” Bawa said. The company is also expanding into new manufacturing capabilities, including large skid solutions, while continuing investments across multiple product lines.

Smart Solutions for Industry
At Automation Expo 2026, WIKA showcased a wide range of advanced solutions, including HHR FlowPak for flow measurement, refractory thermometers with Integrated Insertion Length Technology (ILT), IIoT-enabled instrumentation, sanitary instrumentation, force and load measurement solutions, calibration systems, and products for hydrogen and nuclear applications. The company also highlighted its consultative engineering approach and customized IIoT solutions that help customers improve process visibility, productivity and operational efficiency.

Vision 2030
Looking ahead, WIKA India remains confident about sustaining its growth trajectory. “We are already building plans for 2030. We hope to double our turnover every three to four years, and we are consistently moving in that direction,” Bawa said, reaffirming the company’s commitment to innovation, customer-centricity and long-term investment in India.
