Essar Power appoints Ankur Kumar as CEO of its Renewables Business

Essar Power announced the appointment of Ankur Kumar as the Chief Executive Officer of its Renewables Business Division.

Ankur, who was previously serving as the CEO of ACME Solar Holdings Pvt. Ltd, has over 24 years of extensive experience in renewable energy and public infrastructure sectors. He led the strategic expansion of the ACME into green hydrogen and ammonia businesses, while also enhancing their geographical footprint.

“Ankur will play a key role in advancing Essar’s commitment to transitioning into Green Energy and establishing a robust renewable ecosystem in India,” an official statement issued by Essar said.

Commenting on the appointment, Prashant Ruia, Director, Essar Capital said, “Essar is aggressively pursuing its vision of transforming sector landscapes to green.
