Energy is Changing | Batterywali Dr. Rashi Gupta
Dr. Rashi Gupta, Founder & MD of Vision Mechatronics, popularly known as Batterywali of India, is a prominent change agent in India who is making a difference in the field of technology and renewable energy. In an exclusive interview with Subhajit Roy, Dr. Rashi talks about India’s clean energy transition.
Talking about the market dynamics, she said, “Whenever we look at e-mobility, we have to look at mass mobility also. We cannot go by the way Europeans or the Americans or Australians or any other developed nation has been through that. So, our journey is very unique and it is very Indian and India is predominantly a two-wheeler market. We will see a lot of change in the mobility, but it will come from a different segment altogether.”
Dr. Rashi also shares her vision for her organisation ‘Vision Mechatronics’. She said, “Vision Mechatronics has carved a niche for itself in the energy storage and EV space and we will continue to do that. However, we will be looking for better deployments of EVs across the country.”
