Skipper Foundation hands over scholarships to 1500 girl students
Skipper Foundation, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Skipper Limited, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Power Transmission & Distribution structures and Polymer Products, announced scholarships to 1500 girl students from 22 schools of Kolkata and Howrah. The scholarships were given by Shri Nityanand Charan Das, a national bestselling author and practicing monk at Radhagopinath temple ISKCON, at its 4th edition of the program.
This initiative will help under-privileged children by pushing them towards learning and developing skill sets, making them empowered and employable for the future. The occasion witnessed the presence of Shri Sajan Kumar Bansal, Managing Director, Skipper Limited and Executive Directors, Shri Sharan Bansal, Shri Devesh Bansal and Shri Siddharth Bansal along with other senior officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Nityanand Charan Das said, “Education being the core of the society is a gateway to achieve greatness in life. Not only it provides different avenues to success but also leads to having better resources for future generations. I am delighted to deliver these scholarships to these bright girl students, and they soon will be the key to unlocking India’s potential on a global pedestal.”

The company has developed a CSR Framework in line with Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 and the Board has constituted a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee that identifies the key areas for rolling out CSR activities and monitors the same. Established in the year 2017, this project was inspired by the Government of India’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana.
