What do you see as the most significant challenges and opportunities in the energy transition?
India’s pursuit of renewable power and e-mobility presents a substantial growth opportunity. To support this, the development of smart grids capable of efficiently handling diverse power sources is essential. Additionally, there is a rising demand for the establishment of EV charging infrastructure to promote electric vehicle adoption. The primary challenge lies in ensuring the affordability of these solutions to accelerate the energy transition. Managing the disposal of batteries and obsolete hardware from a solar perspective is a potential long-term challenge. Grid modernization, while a significant challenge, also offers an opportunity for renovating and enhancing grid capabilities.
Collaboration is key in this journey. how does EATON collaborate with other stakeholders in the energy industry?
EATON is a primary supplier of components to major renewable OEMs. We collaborate closely with them to construct dependable Renewable Power Systems. Our engagement extends to major EV manufacturers and government organizations, including NHEV, as we advance in establishing a robust EV infrastructure.
Additionally, we work closely with key Utilities in our endeavors to create a highly reliable grid. Our focus includes embracing new technologies such as compact SF6-free switchgear and adopting energy storage systems.
