What has been your experience at the INTEC exhibition?
We have been active participants since the inception of the INTEC exhibition in Tamil Nadu. The exhibition attracts significant foot traffic, and many of our new technology products are being displayed. Such large-scale events allow us to showcase new technologies and connect with customers across India. Local exhibitions also help us understand the needs of the local industry and display localized products.
What localized products are you showcasing at this exhibition?
We are showcasing three special products:
– 1690V: A bigger size VMC machine with 1600 by 900 traverse, suitable for pattern-making and die mould industries.
– VTL 300XL: A machine with hardened and ground guideways, designed for sustained precision.
– Simple Turn Machine 6035: A short-length turning center machine for cast iron machining.
How are you empowering MSMEs in Coimbatore?
We hold more than 40 percent of the market share, with 70 percent of our customers being MSMEs. Understanding their needs is crucial because every minute a machine stops affects production. We have set up offices in nine locations across Tamil Nadu, supporting customers for 14 to 16 hours a day to ensure minimal downtime and high production rates.
What products have you introduced in this region?
We have launched Simple Turn Machine 6035: Ideal for the cast iron industry, particularly relevant in Coimbatore, which has a strong casting and foundry sector. And CNC Simulator: Beneficial for local engineering colleges and institutions to upskill CNC operators for next-generation machines.
How is Ace Micromatic contributing to the growth of this region?
With a 40 percent market share, we are responsible for supporting the manufacturing sector. We anticipate that the manufacturing industry will grow threefold by 2029, requiring a significant increase in manpower. We run training programs for our customers and as part of our CSR projects. We train unemployed individuals and school-age people in CNC skills and place them with our customers.
With a 40 percent market share, how much does this contribute to your group turnover?
Last year, our group turnover was around Rs 3,500 crores, with around Rs 2,300 crores coming from the machine tool market. This accounts for approximately 30-35 percent of our total pan-India contribution.
What are your plans to increase your machine footprint in this market?
We are setting up more offices closer to new industrial locations and bringing in numerous channel partners. We are also operating through service channel partners and recruiting new talent to increase our footprint and better support our customers.
