Atlas Copco Showcases Energy-Efficient Wastewater Treatment Solutions at IFAT 2024

Atlas Copco, a global leader in compressors, vacuum solutions, and low-pressure systems, showcased its cutting-edge wastewater treatment solutions at IFAT India 2024. The event gave the company a platform to highlight its energy-efficient solutions to reduce CO2 emissions and offer cost-effective, sustainable outcomes for the wastewater industry.

Among the products displayed were the ZS blowers, ZB VSD+ high-speed turbo blowers, and ZM multistage centrifugal air blowers. These advanced products provide a comprehensive range of solutions for various wastewater treatment needs, ensuring low energy consumption and high operational efficiency. The ZS blower is ideal for compact, low-maintenance applications, while the ZB VSD+ blowers are perfect for large-scale aeration processes, offering compressed air at low pressure and minimal energy use. The ZM multistage centrifugal air blower is designed to handle various low-pressure and vacuum demands, with support for air, gas, pressure, and vacuum operations.

These solutions come equipped with advanced controllers and remote monitoring capabilities, enabling operators to optimize processes, prevent breakdowns, and ensure smooth, efficient operations. The emphasis on remote monitoring reflects Atlas Copco’s commitment to reliability and sustainability in wastewater treatment.

Speaking at the event, Alexander Pavlov, General Manager of Atlas Copco Compressors Customer Center in India, stated, β€œAerobic treatments can account for up to 70% of energy consumption in a wastewater treatment plant. Reducing these costs is crucial to lowering operational expenses and CO2 emissions. Our blowers and low-pressure compressors are engineered to deliver on this, providing a quick return on investment for our customers while maintaining efficiency and reliability for sustainable operations.”

Atlas Copco’s participation at IFAT 2024 underscores its dedication to delivering environmentally responsible solutions that align with the global push for greener, more efficient industrial practices.
