ECE India launches TOPCon 650 Wp solar module at REI 2024
Aniket Tondare, Director of Distribution Sales at ECE India Energies, recently outlined the company’s growth roadmap during the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2024. In his remarks, he emphasized key strategies and initiatives aimed at strengthening ECE India’s position in the renewable energy sector and expanding its market reach.
Since the last REI Expo, how has ECE India Energies evolved in terms of market reach and product offerings?
ECE India has seen substantial growth since last year. We’ve expanded our manufacturing facility and strengthened our market presence through an enhanced channel partner and distributor program. Additionally, we established the ECE India Foundation, which focuses on key pillars such as environmental sustainability and education. One of our flagship projects, Vidyalam, sponsors the education of 50 students from 1st to 12th standard. Another initiative, the Devrai project, involves our commitment to planting 1,000 trees on a dedicated farm. These efforts reflect our broader vision of contributing to both the community and the environment.
You launched a TOPCon module at the expo. Can you tell us more about its features?
Yes, our TOPCon technology offers several advanced features, including increased bifacial gain, improved temperature coefficients, and reduced Light-Induced Degradation (LID) effects. Our module is now available with a capacity of 650 Wp, providing higher efficiency and enhanced performance under various conditions.
Given the rapid growth in the renewable energy sector, how is ECE India positioning itself?
The renewable energy sector is indeed growing rapidly, and ECE India is actively keeping up with this momentum. We are enhancing our capacity and launching new products, such as the TOPCon module. Our focus is strong in key segments like solar pumps, commercial and industrial (C&I) solar, and utility-scale solar projects. Additionally, we are developing solar parks, including our own initiatives in Solapur and Amravati, to further strengthen our position in the market.
Can you tell us more about the solar park you mentioned?
The solar park is a 50-megawatt project developed by ECE India in collaboration with our four partners. It is aimed at industries that require power but may not have the capacity to install solar modules on-site. As a CAPEX project, we take care of all aspects of the development, including securing the land and managing the entire process.
What’s the latest update on your channel partner program?
We have successfully added 100 new channel partners since last year, bringing our total to over 150. The program has been performing well in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, and we are now planning to expand into Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh.
