Tata Hitachi aims 30 per cent growth in exports

Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Private Limited, a joint venture between Tata Motors and Hitachi Construction Machinery, is one of the leading construction and mining machinery companies in India. The company offers a diverse portfolio of Mini Excavators, Construction Excavators, Mining Excavators, Backhoe Loaders, Wheel Loaders, and Dump Trucks, apart from a wide range of attachments, parts, and expert service solutions.

At the IMME 2022 in Kolkata, Tata Hitachi showcased its powerful Mining Excavator model ZX 870H-5G and the newly introduced indigenous Wheel Loader, ZW225-6. On the sidelines of the event, in a freewheeling interview with Subhajit Roy of #mojo4industry, Toshiki Onishi, Director, Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Pvt Ltd speaks about the company’s growth plan. He anticipates that the exports business of Tata Hitachi will grow by 30% driven by strong demand coming from Middle East countries and South Africa.

Tata Hitachi has two plants – one at Dharwad in Karnataka and other one at Kharagpur in West Bengal. Commenting on the business ecosystem in the state of West Bengal, Sanjay Prasad, Head-Mining, Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Pvt Ltd said, “It’s a manufacturing-friendly state.”
