Schmersal India organises Covid-19 Vaccination Drive for Its Employees and Family Members

Schmersal India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Schmersal Group, has been successfully keeping Covid-19 at bay since the inception of the pandemic. Schmersal India has proactively implemented several steps such as RT-PCR and antigen testing at the plant, distribution of Covid 19 protection kits and raising awareness about social distancing and importance of face masks. To further safeguard its employees Schmersal India organised a Covid-19 vaccination drive for all its employees and family members on 8th June.

This drive was facilitated at Schmersal India factory premises located at MIDC Ranjangaon, Pune and was conducted by a team of doctors from Jahangir Hospital Pune. Schmersal India sponsored doses of the COVISHIELD vaccine for more than 205 people whilst maintaining all COVID-19 protocols. 

Sagar Bhosale, Managing Director, Schmersal India, said, “The world is battling this lethal second wave of COVID-19 which has affected our families, communities, work, and way of life in an unprecedented manner. In such difficult times, safeguarding our employees and their families from this lethal disease as early as possible is a priority for us. This will also help all SIPL families to get vaccinated with the second dose before the onset of a potential third wave of Covid 19.”

For the beneficiaries of the drive, they said, “The initiative has come at perfect time when everybody is facing challenges in booking slots for Covid-19 vaccination.”

Schemrsal India plans to take this initiative forward by conducting similar vaccination drives at its regional offices across India with the aim to get the entire Schmersal India family vaccinated at the earliest.
