POM Systems & Services, popularly known as POM Power, is aiming to double its business in FY27, driven by new-age power solutions and expansion into emerging segments such as EV charging and hybrid inverters, said Managing Director I.B. Rao at the Metal Forming Expo 2026 in Pune.
Speaking to mojo4industry, Rao highlighted that the company recorded around 45% growth in the previous year and is now targeting 100% growth, backed by a stronger portfolio and rising demand for efficient and reliable power systems in industrial applications.
POM Power’s UPS systems are increasingly being adopted in precision-driven industries such as laser cutting, CNC machining, and robotics. Rao emphasized that these applications require stable and uninterrupted power, as even minor fluctuations can affect product quality and lead to significant material losses.
“Our systems are designed to ensure precision and consistency in operations where power stability is critical,” he said.
A key focus area for the company is energy efficiency. POM Power’s latest inverter models offer efficiency levels of up to 97%, helping manufacturers reduce energy consumption and improve overall cost savings. While these advanced systems involve higher upfront costs, Rao noted that customers can expect a strong return on investment, typically within two to five years.
At the expo, the company showcased UPS systems up to 200 kVA, along with solutions integrated with lithium battery technology. Despite the higher cost of lithium batteries, POM Power is addressing adoption challenges through leasing options in partnership with financing providers. These batteries offer a lifespan of 12–15 years and up to 10,000 cycles, making them a viable long-term investment for industrial users.
POM Power is also focusing on handling complex industrial loads, including regenerative loads commonly found in CNC machines. Its modular UPS systems are designed to manage such challenges while ensuring operational continuity. With modular capacities of 75–100 kW per unit, these systems offer redundancy, allowing operations to continue even if one module fails.
Originally deployed in hospitals and data centres, these modular systems are now being adapted for industrial environments, reflecting the company’s diversification strategy, informs Rao.
Beyond its core UPS business, POM Power is expanding into high-growth segments. The company is introducing EV chargers of up to 480 kW, certified by ERI, and hybrid inverters with built-in lithium battery systems.
“With advanced products and new technology introductions, we are confident of achieving 100% growth in the coming year,” Rao said.
POM Power’s strategy underscores the growing importance of efficient, reliable, and intelligent power solutions in modern manufacturing, particularly as industries move toward automation and high-precision operations.
