AMF Opens New Office in Bengaluru to Strengthen Workholding Technology Presence
Andreas Maier Workholding Technology – India, the Indian subsidiary of Andreas Maier GmbH (AMF), has opened a new office at Industry House on Race Course Road in Bengaluru, strengthening its presence in India’s industrial and manufacturing hub.
The new office was inaugurated on August 4 by Dr Christoph Dorschfeldt, Consul General (designate) of Germany; Johannes Maier, Group Managing Director, AMF; and Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA India.
The event brought together representatives from the Indo-German business community and industry, including Madhusoothanan SM, Regional Director for Bengaluru at the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC); Kanchi Arora, Economic Advisor to the Consul General; Chakravarti Mohan, Chairman, Institute of Directors; and Alokha Mendens, IOD Southern Head, along with representatives from Nextdigm Consultants and DBS Bank.
In his keynote address, Johannes Maier highlighted AMF’s journey and growth in India. Dr Dorschfeldt emphasised the strong cooperation between German and Indian companies. Simon Schmidt, International Sales Director, AMF, and TV Mohan, Country Head, AMF-India, welcomed the guests.
AMF has been present in India for more than 15 years and has established itself as a supplier of workholding and clamping solutions for machine tool and fixture builders. Its product portfolio includes zero-point systems, hydraulic and pneumatic clamping solutions, vacuum and magnetic systems, gripper automation and other workholding technologies.
The company’s Zero-Point System (ZPS) has been one of its key offerings in India, helping manufacturers reduce setup and changeover times while improving shopfloor productivity.
With the new Bengaluru office, AMF aims to strengthen its local sales and service capabilities and provide closer support to customers across India, including applications involving standard as well as complex machining configurations.
