mojo4industry recently visited the BKT Bhuj Facility, where we looked closer look at one of the most innovative tire manufacturing plants in India. We were exclusively joined by Ashok P Chhajer, Sr. General Manager – OE Sales, BKT Tires. He took us on a journey through the company’s state-of-the-art R&D center, in-house carbon black production plant, and many more.

We had an opportunity for a walkthrough at the R&D center, which is the hub of innovation at BKT. The team of experts here develops a cutting-edge technology and designs new products. From testing various compounds to developing the latest tread patterns, the R&D center constantly pushes the boundaries of tire technology.

Next, we moved on to the heart of the BKT Bhuj facility – the production line. Here, joint forces work to ensure that 300 tonnes of tires roll off the production line daily. From mixing the raw materials to molding and curing the finished product, every step of the manufacturing process is carefully monitored and optimized for maximum efficiency and quality.

But what truly sets BKT Bhuj apart is our in-house carbon black production plant. Carbon black is a critical component of tire manufacturing.
