EATON embracing digitalisation in power sector | ELECRAMA 2023

EATON has been a global leader in the field of power management for over 110 years. Talking about the factors that are impacting the power management business, Shreesha Nagar, Director – Digital Sales (Brightlayer), Eaton Power Quality, said, “There are four major trends which are impacting the power management industry: electrification of the world, energy transition, digitalization and operational technology (OT) cyber security.”

Explaining about how the energy management sector has evolved during the past three years, Shreesha said, “Monitoring and proactive management of assets are talk of the town today as artificial intelligence and (data) analytics are going to play a big role in the industry. Also, OT cyber security is becoming very important.”

Shreesha also explains the benefits of EATON’s newly launched Brightlayer digital foundation that enable customers to optimize how power is used, stored and distributed through data and insights from secure, connected and intelligent assets across sectors business verticals utilities, data centers, industrials and buildings.
