Germany is India’s largest trading partner in Europe and among India’s top ten global trade partners. Bilateral trade between Germany and India in 2018 was valued at more than Euro 20.41 billion. Today, more than 1,700 German companies are active in India, providing around 400,000 direct and indirect jobs.

VDMA India acts as a bridge-head between the German Machinery manufacturers and Indian industry. Mr Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA India talks to Subhajit Roy and explains what needs to be done to increase trade activities between both the countries.
