Polycab appoints Shashi Amin as Director and CEO – B2B Channel & Corporate Communication
In a key leadership development, the Board of Directors at Polycab India Limited has appointed Mr. Shashi Amin as Director (Non-Board Member) and CEO – B2B Channel & Corporate Communication, effective January 5, 2026, as per a regulatory filing with the stock exchange.
The appointment follows the resignation of Mr. Bhushan Sawhney, who served as Executive President and Chief Business Officer – B2B. Mr. Sawhney had stepped down due to personal reasons on February 3, 2025, with his cessation from the company becoming effective on May 2, 2025.
The Board, acting on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, approved Mr. Amin’s appointment in line with the company’s strategic priorities to strengthen leadership and drive growth in its B2B vertical.
Mr. Shashi Amin, aged 58 years, holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Power Systems from Amravati University and a Master’s degree in Marketing Management from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai.
With over 37 years of experience in sales and marketing, business development, and P&L management in the cable industry, Mr. Amin brings deep domain expertise and leadership capability. His professional journey includes senior leadership roles at reputed organizations such as Apar Industries Limited, BICC Bahrain, and Nicco Corporation Limited.
Prior to joining Apar Industries Limited, Mr. Amin was associated with Polycab from July 2011 to March 2022, where he served as President and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Head – Cables.
Polycab stated that Mr. Amin’s extensive industry experience and strategic insight are expected to further strengthen its B2B operations and corporate communication initiatives, supporting long-term growth objectives.
