KYB Conmat | Exclusive from EXCON 2023
KYB Conmat has long been synonymous with innovation, quality, and reliability in the construction sector. As a stalwart in the industry, the company has consistently pushed boundaries, and EXCON 2023 is no exception.
At EXCON 2023, KYB Conmat unveiled a range of construction equipment including Wheel Loader, Soil Compactor, CSLM 4200L, and CSLM 4300S that are specifically designed to cater to the unique demands of the Indian construction landscape, informs the company’s Managing Director Premraj Keshyep. He said, “We believe in harnessing cutting-edge technology while keeping in mind the local challenges and requirements.”
What are your thoughts on the history of KYB Conmat, known for consistently introducing innovative technologies to the Indian market?
KYB Conmat has a longstanding commitment to innovation, producing cutting-edge products since its inception. Our focus is on creating technology rather than acquiring or adopting it from developed nations. With a highly qualified team of engineers and a dedicated R&D Center at our headquarters in Baroda, we consistently introduce new products at each Excon exhibition.
In line with this tradition, we are unveiling five new products at Excon 2023, starting with the Wheel Loader. This marks only the second hydrostatic drive Wheel Loader in India, offering advantages such as significantly lower fuel consumption for improved machine efficiency. The hydrostatic transmission provides T plus speed control, ensuring smooth operation for any operator and enhancing overall comfort.
Additionally, the Wheel Loader is equipped with user controls in vernacular language, prioritizing accessibility. All our machines are integrated with IoT, simplifying monitoring and control of both individual machines and entire fleets.
How do you perceive the alignment between the theme of Excon 2023, centered around building India, and the vision or mission of KYB Conmat?
Our motto revolves around building India for both the present and the future. We are dedicated to creating technology that is fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly, and well-suited for Indian conditions, operators, and the masses. Our philosophy is rooted in developing products tailored to the unique operating conditions in India.
We take pride in being an Indian company that is self-reliant. True to the essence of Atmanirbhar Bharat, we design and develop equipment from the ground up, rather than simply adapting technology from developed countries. Our approach involves collaborating with Indian users to gather input, and the design and development process is undertaken by Indian engineers.
What are the additional products apart from the GWL 9360 hydrostatic loader that you have launched, and how have these products been received by your users?
In addition to the Wheel Loader, we have introduced a vibratory roller compactor, marking a significant step in diversifying our product range from concrete equipment to roadworthy equipment. This expansion is part of our gradual entry into the earth-moving sector. The newly launched roller compactor, model CCO 1170S, is an 11-ton compactor designed for soil compaction.
Furthermore, we have expanded our range of Self Loading Mixers. The latest addition is the 2500 model, featuring a 2.5 cubic meter capacity and notable for its use of a low horsepower engine. Unlike conventional 74 HP engines, we employ a 49 HP engine, resulting in a 30% to 40% improvement in fuel efficiency without compromising the machine’s work output.
Additionally, we have introduced the CSLM 4200L, a lighter version of our existing 4.3 cubic meter model, with a reduced power requirement from 110 HP to 74 HP. This model eliminates the need for AdBlue, making it easier to maintain, operate, and cost-effective. The cost per cubic meter is substantially lower than conventional machines.
Our latest model, CSLM 4300S, features a special high-flow drum design (S), allowing for the use and discharge of almost zero slump concrete without lifting the machine. This design enhances machine stability, improves flow, and reduces the cost per cubic meter.
