KTA Spindle showcases slimmest Hydraulic Toolholders at IMTEX

Could you please take us around to showcase the products displayed here?
Yes. We have new products launched during the exhibition. We have a complete range of Hydraulic Chucks, Slim Chucks, Standard Chucks, and even the Chucks that are produced out of 3D printing technology. We launched Hydraulic Chucks and Hydraulic Chucks with anti-vibration, Shrink-fit Holders with anti-vibration, and Face Mill Holders with anti-vibration, all 400 GPs particularly Hydraulic Chuck with 400 GP is the first time in the world that we claim is produced and launched. This is the Hydraulic Chuck with 400 MM GP with anti-vibration technology built in. This is the first time in the world what we claim. and these are all anti-vibration tool holders. This is produced in India for the first time. Next in this series is all Shrink Chuck holders. To date, we are producing only smaller lengths 160-millimeter GPUs only, now if it is 200 250 300 up to 400 MM long. So, people have the flexibility to get oversized holders to do the component inside components of say helicopter industry or aeronautic industry that’s the big achievement here.

KTA exports 60 percent of its production, how are you able to match the world-class quality?
I would say this is very simple. Whatever you do in the Machine Shop you need to check it correctly. Whenever you do precision grinding you should have the capability to check very accurately. We do the same thing; we produce and check. If you do not check you do not know where and what you are producing. So, if something goes wrong and it’s rejected at that stage, we strictly scrap it. We don’t tick ahead that is how we have more than now 5000 different items. And whatever we sell which may dispatch out of our gate most of them are very well accepted in many countries including India.

Could you please share with us what are your long-term, short-term, and mid-term objectives for growth?
For long-term objectives, yes, we are in exports for so many years. Now India is booming and we want to be a major part of Make in India. So we have we are focusing on India for the last more than a year in a big way we have more than now 100 distributors throughout India. They are all trained in the factory for product knowledge, and sales service knowledge, this is how we are going ahead now.

Could you please take us around what products are displayed at IMTEX?
We have hydraulic Chucks accessories here, we have got two types of sleeves;  i) The center through coolant, ii) the phase through coolant. We have ER hydraulic Chucks, some Cylindrical Shrink Chucks, Cylindrical Hydraulic Chucks, and Wheel Arbors. There is the smallest hydraulic Chuck that we have developed.  This is used for sliding gate machines, and it’s a very good product to be used as sliding machines to remove the tool and put the tool in a few seconds. There are Collet Chucks from the smallest GP 35 GP – 400 GP, Weldon Holder – from smallest 35 GP to 400 GP; about 200 GP we with all anti-vibration systems built in. These are our special MLC Tapping Chucks. These are used for rigid tappings. This is a DMC Chuck and this is a Power Milling Chuck this is for Heavy Machining and this is for Light Machining in the integrated cavities.

Could you please tell us which product got the most visitors?
We got a lot of customers who appreciated this ER Hydraulic Chucks, this hydraulic Chuck for sliding heads, and the longer hydraulic Chucks that we have here. So here we have the 35 GP to 400 GP Hydraulic Chuck this is the products that customers have appreciated and liked a lot.

Could you tell us what are the USPS of these products?
The USP of this product is these products are having anti-vibration and with a single LNK you can clamp and unclamp the tool. You don’t require a big spanner, you don’t require a shrinking machine like Shrink Chucks and it is very fast to change the tool, has very rigid holding and it has got good damping because of hydraulics inside.

What is your growth target?
The growth target is, this year we will establish all these new ranges in the Indian market to the next level which we have not done in the last 30 years. The next year in 2024 we will establish our own company in USA KT Inc. so these are the two biggest targets that we have set for the next two years.

What is your largest takeaway from IMTEX 2023?
IMTEX 2023 what we have learned is that if you have a quality product and if you have the right delivery then the customers come again and again back to you and this is what we could get certified in IMTEX 23.
