ELMEASURE enters switchgear business | ELECRAMA 2023
Founded in 2004 as a meter manufacturing company, Bengaluru based ELMEASURE gradually ventured into panel meters, changeover switches, and prepaid meters. Now the company announced its entry into switchgear business with the launch of ATS (auto transfer switches) during ELECRAMA 2023.
Talking about what is driving the growth for ELMEASURE, the company’s Chairman Sam Cherian said, “Our pursuit was to solve problems rather than build products.” He adds, “People are the backbone and mission statement at ELMEASURE is – Build extraordinary people that then build an extraordinary company.”
The homegrown company is a key contributor to the “Make in India” initiative. Emphasizing on the Sam said, “We are today the largest digital panel meter manufacturer in the country manufacturing about 100,000 pieces every single month. We are completely ‘Made in India’ – all of the products that we produce today are designed at ELMEASURE indigenously and then manufactured in India for the World.”
After expanding its manufacturing capabilities by setting up a facility in Gujarat, the company is also looking for greater collaboration with overseas manufacturer to strengthen global footprint, informs Sam.
Talking about the new product launch, Babu TK, CEO, ELMEASURE India, “The newly launched product range (including Contactors, MCCBs and ACBs) in the low-voltage segment will be available from April month onwards. We have got this entire range of product with a white-labeling arrangement with Schneider Electric.”
