Delta Electronics Expands Krishnagiri Plant; TN CM Stalin Attends

Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, September 11, 2025 – Delta Electronics India, a leader in power management and green energy solutions, today hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of its Krishnagiri manufacturing campus in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The event also marked the unveiling of a new state-of-the-art smart manufacturing line.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “I wholeheartedly appreciate Delta Electronics’ outstanding contribution to the industrial development of the Hosur region. I am particularly delighted about the inauguration of your factory’s new automated production line and its latest expansion. Tamil Nadu stands as India’s leading electronics manufacturing and export hub, and I am confident that our collaboration between Delta Electronics and the Government of Tamil Nadu will further strengthen the state’s growth.”

Jimmy Yiin, Delta’s Executive Vice President of Global Business Operations, said, “Today’s expansion is a landmark milestone in Delta’s long-term commitment to the national ‘Make in India’ initiative. Our Krishnagiri manufacturing site has been strengthening India’s role within our global manufacturing capabilities since 2020, and we express our deepest gratitude to the Indian government, as well as to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for the invaluable support to our local endeavors. Equally important is our people—by creating a safe and vibrant housing ecosystem, we ensure that our employees thrive along with our business.”

Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, said, “Delta’s Krishnagiri site is a symbol of India’s excellence in manufacturing, innovation, talent, and sustainability. Moreover, our newly-established smart manufacturing line is a testament to Delta’s unique prowess in industrial automation hardware-software integration and in eco-friendly production. Beyond manufacturing, our investment here also reflects Delta’s commitment to advancing local skills and creating opportunities that benefit both industry and society.”

Spread across 95 acres with over 3,800 employees as of September 2025, the Krishnagiri campus, currently consisting of four large-scale factory buildings, is a major manufacturing hub for Delta. The site is mainly focused on the production of high-efficiency power supplies and DC brushless fans for a broad range of industrial and commercial applications, as well as telecom power systems, industrial automation solutions, data center infrastructure, and solutions for electric mobility. The two upcoming factory buildings will expand manufacturing capacity in those segments for both domestic and global markets.

The newly-unveiled smart manufacturing line features Delta’s “Inline Management Solution Line Manager”, which facilitates automated production line changeovers and data-driven decision making through smart line configuration, equipment management, and materials logistics coordination in real-time. The advanced production line is also equipped with Delta’s own industrial automation technologies, such as 6-axis articulated robots, 4-axis SCARA robots, servo motion systems, programmable logic controllers (PLC), industrial networking switches. This entire smart automation ecosystem has delivered up to 95% increase in productivity (*) in the production of power supplies for home appliance applications.

In line with Delta’s global sustainability commitments, the Krishnagiri manufacturing site’s operations are currently powered with up to 53% renewable energy sources, including a 6,9MWp solar rooftop system, as well as wind power procurement. Furthermore, an 1,800 KLD (kiloliter per day) water treatment plant system and a rainwater harvesting infrastructure support the site’s water conservation efforts while a waste management mechanism strictly follows CPCB-certified practices.

With a long-term vision to make Krishnagiri a global benchmark for smart manufacturing, skill development, and eco-friendly operations, Delta’s investment is set to reinforce India’s manufacturing, innovation, and sustainability vision.
