The newly inaugurated tech center stands as a testament to Brother Machine Tools’s dedication to smart, precise, and efficient machining. At the heart of this advanced facility are live demonstrations, customer support spaces, and an extensive display of Brother Machine Tools’s latest CNC solutions—most notably, the Speedio series, including the Made-in-India S700Bd1.
The center is strategically located in Pune’s industrial belt—an ideal hub to engage with the region’s flourishing automotive and precision engineering markets.
Leadership Perspective: Strategic Vision for Growth
Eric T. Namikata, Managing Director, Brother Machinery India, highlighted the broader group’s growing focus on the machine tools business. He stated, “As a Group, we have several verticals—printers, sewing machines, and machine tools. While machine tools currently account for a smaller share of overall sales revenue, we’re now shifting our focus significantly toward this vertical, especially for industrial customers in India.”
He also emphasized Brother Machine Tools’s global expansion plans with India, Japan, and Europe identified as key growth territories. He said, “We began manufacturing operations in December last year and still have ample land available at the plant, indicating the possibility of a new phase of expansion within the next 3–5 years.”
