Bondada, Adani enter long-term renewable energy partnership

Bondada Engineering Limited (BEL) has entered into a five-year Strategic Design and Construction Partnership with the Adani Group to support the development of large-scale renewable energy infrastructure in the country.

Vneet S. Jaain, Managing Director of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), and Dr. Bondada Raghavendra Rao, Chairman & Managing Director of Bondada Engineering Limited (BEL) formally signed the framework agreement in Ahmedabad.

As the first major project under this strategic partnership, BEL was recently awarded an order for 650 MW of solar energy works from AGEL. This marks the beginning of a significant pipeline of joint development initiatives that will unfold under this strategic partnership.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rao said, “We will bring together the best practices of both organisations to make formidable strides toward meeting our commitment towards nation’s clean energy objectives.”

Bondada Engineering recently crossed the milestone of commissioning 1 GW of solar capacity. It currently has 1.8 GW of solar projects under execution, 2.5 GW worth of orders pending, and an additional 2 GW of independent power producer (IPP) development underway in Andhra Pradesh.
