BKT Elevates Brand Visibility with Iconic Mumbai Airport Installation
Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT), a global Off-Highway tyre leader with a growing presence in India’s on-highway tyre market, has unveiled a distinctive brand installation at Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL)’s T2 Elevated Road Underpass. The initiative, inspired by BKT Tyres’ ‘Elevate Your Drive’ philosophy reflects the company’s evolution into a broader mobility brand by highlighting its portfolio across agriculture, construction, mining, earthmoving, commercial vehicles, two-wheelers and passenger vehicles. The launch of the installation marks a significant moment as BKT expands its footprint in India’s two-wheeler and commercial vehicle tyre segments, introducing Indian consumers to the breadth of its mobility portfolio.
Moving beyond conventional outdoor advertising, the 2,000 sq. ft. installation uses nine illuminated tyre-shaped displays, each measuring 8 feet in diameter, to transform the tyre into the central storytelling element. The display opens with a large-format visual featuring BKT brand ambassador Ranveer Singh, followed by a sequential series of tyre-shaped displays that present a connected narrative of BKT’s expanding mobility portfolio. The showcase will remain in place for 24 months at one of India’s busiest aviation hubs, which handled a record 55.5 million passengers in 2025, providing sustained visibility among business travellers and consumers.
Commenting on the initiative, Satish Sharma, Sr. President & Director – Business Development and Strategy, BKT, said: “For BKT, innovation goes beyond product engineering; it extends to how we tell our story. This installation reflects a simple yet powerful idea: our tyre itself becomes the medium through which travellers experience the breadth of BKT’s world. As we expand our presence across India’s mobility landscape, it is important that consumers see BKT not through a single product category, but as a brand that supports movement across diverse terrains, applications and journeys. Mumbai Airport provides an ideal stage for us to express that transformation in a memorable and distinctive way.”
The experience, conceptualised by Infectious Advertising, represents a distinctive approach to out-of-home communication, with the product itself serving as the creative medium. By combining immersive design, sequential storytelling and strategic placement at one of India’s busiest airport gateways, the installation creates a memorable brand experience.
The activation connects the company’s trusted Off-Highway heritage with its expanding presence across India’s mobility landscape, supporting the next phase of its consumer journey.
