VECV starts production at its new truck plant at Bhopal
VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. started the commercial operations at its new truck manufacturing unit at Bagroda near Bhopal. This is the 8th manufacturing facility of VECV in the state of Madhya Pradesh and has been set up with Industry 4.0 standards. In the first phase, the plant will have the capacity to manufacture 40,000 trucks per annum.
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the new manufacturing facility and flagged off the new trucks rolled out from this plant.
VECV is one of the large investors in Madhya Pradesh with investment of more than Rs. 5000 crore in its eight plants. Apart from this, it has attracted more than 100 ancillary and other suppliers for supplying the parts required in manufacture of trucks. As a result, VECV has generated direct and indirect employment for over 30,000 people including suppliers and associates.
