Power Build Pvt. Ltd., a key player in power transmission and motion control systems, showcased its comprehensive product portfolio at IME 2025, Kolkata. Known for its gear motors, gearboxes, planetary drives and complete mechatronic solutions, the company demonstrated how its technology is engineered to support India’s mining, steel, cement and material handling industries with reliable and high-torque performance.

“We have been in this market for the last 50 years, and today Radicon Power Build is recognized for offering one of the most complete product ranges in the geared motor industry,” said Suvendu Bhattacharya, General Manager – Business Development, Power Build Pvt. Ltd. “Our solutions are used globally, and at IME we are showcasing how our innovations are transforming mining applications.”

Product Showcase
Helical Inline Geared Motor – M-Series
Among the products showcased at IME 2025, the company’s flagship M-Series inline helical gearbox remains one of its most widely used solutions. Bhattacharya explained that the M-Series is deployed across material handling, steel plants, cement operations and mixer applications, where efficiency and consistent torque delivery are essential.

PBWR – Worm Reducer
Power Build also presented its C-Series Heli-WORM gearbox, developed over the last four years. “This series is very popular up to 10,000 Nm and replaces the traditional K-Series bevel gearboxes in several applications,” Bhattacharya said. He emphasized that the series addresses critical needs in industries requiring compact, right-angled drive solutions.

New Q-Series Shaft Mounted Gearbox
A key highlight at the booth was the newly developed Q-Series, a shaft-mounted gearbox designed specifically for aggregate handling, mining and conveyor applications. Bhattacharya described it as an important addition to the company’s mining-focused portfolio. “The Q-Series is engineered for belt conveyor and crusher applications, and it is already gaining popularity in the aggregate sector,” he said.

Expanded Planetary Gearbox Range
The company has significantly expanded its planetary gearbox capabilities. “Earlier we supplied planetary drives up to 65,000 Nm, but now the product range has been enhanced to 2.8 lakh Nm,” Bhattacharya noted. Beyond this capacity, customers can access larger units through the Helicon group. A running demonstration model displayed at the booth showcased the planetary solution built by Power Build’s material handling division.

Helical Bevel Gearbox – K-Series
The K-Series helical bevel gearbox, with torque up to 50,000 Nm, continues to be a preferred solution for heavy-duty tasks. Bhattacharya explained that these gearboxes are widely supplied for belt conveyors, weigh feeders, screw feeders and other high-load applications across mining and steel plants.

Parallel Shaft Mounted Gear Motors – F-Series
Power Build also highlighted the capabilities of its parallel shaft mounted geared motors, which are commonly used in LTCT cranes, agitators and higher-torque material handling applications. The company has strengthened this category by introducing F14 (up to 14,000 Nm) and F25 (up to 25,000 Nm) units and is working on extending the modular range further.

Integrated Mechatronic & Motion Control Solutions
The company has expanded its portfolio beyond gearboxes into complete mechatronic solutions. “Today customers want a complete solution,” Bhattacharya explained. “So along with gear motors, we supply VFDs, panels and PLCs that can be directly connected to the customer’s database.”

Power Build’s VFD range covers 0.37 kW to 400 kW, offered in both panel-mounted and decentralized versions, with the decentralized models mounted directly on the motor terminal box. These solutions allow remote control, energy optimization and seamless system integration for mining and industrial operations.
