PETECH Launches Performance Series CNC Machines

Precision Engineering Technologies (PETECH), a Phillips Machine Tools group company, has unveiled its Performance Series — a new range of high-performance CNC machines designed to transform global precision manufacturing. The exclusive media preview, hosted in Pune, marked a major milestone for the company, with over 500 Performance Series machines already operational across India, the Middle East, and Malaysia.

The event brought together technology leaders from PETECH along with strategic partners such as Mastercam (CAD/CAM), Renishaw (Metrology), MMC Hardmetal (Tooling), Zoller (Tool Health), and Nikken (Accessories).

Bridging the gap in precision manufacturing
Highlighting the vision behind the launch, Sumeet Bengeri, VP, Precision Engineering Technologies, explained that the Performance Series was designed to make advanced CNC technologies accessible to a wider customer base.

“When we first thought of launching this series, our goal was to make this technology accessible across industries,” Sumeet explained. “We wanted to close the gap between Indian manufacturers and imported machines. Affordability isn’t just about cost — it’s about the value you receive, the process of delivery, and the technology driving it.”

Highlighting the importance of value creation, Sumeet stressed that true ROI is measured by performance and output. “Our machines come with standard features like high-speed spindle systems, the use of direct-drive technology, rapid traverse rates for quick axis movement, and extended XYZ axis stroke lengths,” he noted. “While the price may be slightly higher, what really matters is the capability our customers gain to better serve their own clients. That’s where PETECH makes the difference.”

Performance-driven partnerships
The launch event also showcased PETECH’s collaborative approach by engaging its partners. Amit Salunkhe, GM, ZOLLER India & Southeast Asia, highlighted the uniqueness of the event.

“PETECH and Phillips always bring wonderful products that customers require on their shop floor to make themselves more efficient,” Salunkhe said. “As they talk about performance, we at ZOLLER also talk about performance — extracting the maximum out of machines. After all, machines are made for making chips and making money.”

On ZOLLER’s role in the Performance Series, he added, “When you talk about the performance of your machine shop, ZOLLER is an unavoidable part of that journey. Our solutions ensure that your machines and your processes remain efficient, giving customers the ability to make more out of their shopfloor.”

Enhancing value with advanced solutions
From the perspective of Renishaw India, the partnership goes back decades. Sanjay Sangam, Dy Director – Sales & Technical, Renishaw India, underlined the importance of integrating Renishaw solutions into PETECH machines.

“Our association with PETECH goes back to the Philips days. By integrating our solutions into their machines, we add more value to the customers,” Sangam said. “In aerospace, for example, components are very expensive, and cycle times are very high.  Once production starts, no one wants to make mistakes after hours of machining. Renishaw’s sensor technologies address this challenge.”

He adds, “Our sensors enable automated component setting and tool setting. When integrated with the machine, they ensure that once cutting begins, you produce a quality part that meets customer requirements. This integration helps PETECH deliver even more value through their Performance Series.”

Driving the future of CNC manufacturing
The unveiling of PETECH’s Performance Series represents more than just a product launch — it reflects a larger vision of accessible, high-performance, and globally competitive CNC technologies for Indian and international markets. With over 500 machines already in use across multiple regions, PETECH’s Performance Series is set to accelerate growth, efficiency, and innovation for industries worldwide.
