Schmersal plans to double production capacity in 5 years

Schmersal Group is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of safety switching devices in the world having presence in more than 20 countries. Started in 2015, Schmersal India is celebrating it’s 15 years of operations in Indian market.

In a freewheeling interview with mojo4industry’s Subhajit Roy, Michael Ambros, Managing Director of K.A. Schmersal GmbH and Sagar Bhosale, Managing Director of Schmersal India discuss about the technology disruptor’s journey in Indian market, market trends, growth story and more.

The company is also betting big on the Indian market and will be expanding its capacity in India. Talking about the expansion plans, Ambros said, “We see a huge potential in the next 10 years for Indian market…We want to double our production capacity in the next five years. Also, we see there is an increasing awareness about safety and therefore will try to double our service unit.”
