Phillips Machine Tools and 2OneLab Partner to Boost Additive Manufacturing in India
Phillips Machine Tools India announced a strategic partnership with 2OneLab to advance additive manufacturing capabilities in India. Under this partnership, Phillips will begin manufacturing 2OneLab’s Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) systems at its Pune facility. This marks a critical step toward building a robust, self-reliant supply chain for advanced manufacturing technologies within India.
Additive Manufacturing (AM) is fundamentally reshaping how products are designed, engineered, and produced. From aerospace to healthcare to automotive, industries worldwide are embracing AM to achieve unprecedented design freedom, reduce lead times, enhance performance, and enable sustainable production practices. With this partnership, Phillips and 2OneLab aim to make these benefits deeply accessible to Indian manufacturers – large and small.
Speaking on the partnership, Anuj Budhiraja, VP – Additive from Phillips Machine Tools India, said: “Additive Manufacturing is not just an incremental improvement—it is a complete shift in how the world thinks about manufacturing. By bringing LPBF manufacturing to India, we are enabling Indian innovators, engineers, and enterprises to harness world-class technology locally. This collaboration with 2OneLab strengthens our commitment to building India’s capabilities, competitiveness, and leadership in the global manufacturing ecosystem.”
Ran Reznik, CEO of 2OneLab, added: “India is emerging as a high-potential market for Additive Manufacturing, and our partnership with Phillips reflects our shared vision of making advanced LPBF systems more accessible and more aligned with local industry needs. We believe that India’s growing engineering talent, combined with Phillips’ deep market presence and manufacturing expertise, will accelerate AM adoption and spark new breakthroughs across sectors.”
This collaboration is set to unlock significant value for India—training new generations of AM specialists, supporting indigenous product development, and giving rise to new applications that were once considered impossible. As Indian industries adopt AM at scale, the nation stands to benefit from stronger supply chains, reduced import dependency, and a new wave of high-tech job creation.
