Central Vista is an important project of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government in the centre, which aims to redevelop a 3.2 km stretch in the heart of Lutyens’ Delhi built by the British in the 1930s.
Central Vista is being developed as a project of national importance with an investment of Rs 20,000 crore. And Central Vista will be ready by 2024.
But new controversies are coming to the fore regarding Central Vista. The latest controversy is related to electrical fire safety.
According to experts, the electric wires and cables being used in the electrification of Central Vista are of poor quality. Also, the manner in which the vendors have been selected is also being criticized. Experts believe that such negligence can be fatal for the occupants of the building and such negligence is not acceptable for a prestigious project like Central Vista.
