5-minute pothole repair solution to fill potholes in Kalyan-Dombivli Area

Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) deployed a new, innovative pothole-filling technology to make the roads of Kalyan and Dombivili safer and smoother for its civilians. A trial demo was conducted to evaluate whether the potholes would be filled within 5 minutes.

Pot-Crete developed by RDC Concrete and its subsidiary company Ultrafine is a rapid pothole repair solution that guarantees durable repairs without requiring special equipment or lengthy downtime. As part of a trial run, the KDMC is administering the new repairs to a few roads. The trial will help assess the effectiveness and reliability of the technology in a real-world setting.

Anil Banchhor MD & CEO, RDC Concrete said, “With this trial, we just took the initial step to fix the pothole menace and the challenges that come with it. This will help RDC & Ultrafine to develop more efficient and effective solutions to address the pothole issue in other cities as well.”

Ajay Pathik, CEO of Ultrafine adds, “With Pot-Crete, we are proud to provide society with an efficient, reliable and eco-friendly solution to better handle road conditions.”

Arjun Ahire, City Engineer of KDMC mentioned, “The rapid pothole repair solution by RDC and Ultrafine is an innovative solution for better handling road conditions. The results from the first round of trial are encouraging and have showed that the concrete settles within 5 minutes. Further trials will help us determine if this solution is truly sustainable and continues to be of benefit to roadway users in the long run.”
