Delta Electronics proposes AI, Energy Validation Centre in Tamil Nadu
Delta Electronics India has announced plans to strengthen its presence in Tamil Nadu with a proposed expansion of its manufacturing operations and the establishment of a new state-of-the-art testing and validation centre focused on AI, renewable energy, and smart infrastructure.
A delegation led by Benjamin Lin, President, Delta Electronics India, and Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director, met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and thanked the state government for its continued support of the company’s operations in the state.
Delta currently operates a large manufacturing facility in Krishnagiri and has proposed an expansion of the campus as part of its long-term growth strategy in Tamil Nadu.
As part of the expansion, the company has proposed setting up ARIVAM, a greenfield testing and validation centre within its existing Krishnagiri facility. ARIVAM, which stands for AI Data Center, Renewables, Integrated Micro Grid Solutions, Validated Engineering and Management Center, will focus on the design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and lifecycle management of sustainable AI data centres, renewable energy systems, and integrated microgrid solutions.
During the meeting, Delta also proposed collaboration with the Government of Tamil Nadu in key areas including energy infrastructure and energy storage, AI data centre infrastructure, and smart manufacturing and industrial automation. The company expressed appreciation for the state’s long-standing support and discussed opportunities for deeper collaboration in these strategic sectors.
According to the company, the Chief Minister assured continued support for Delta’s operations and future investments under the new government.
The proposed initiatives build on Delta’s automated Krishnagiri campus, which serves as a reference site for Industry 4.0 manufacturing practices and a demonstration and learning centre for advanced automation. The company said the expansion reflects its continued commitment to supporting Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth while advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, including water stewardship and carbon reduction.
