Palm Power at REI 2025: Innovation, Quality, and the Future of Solar Power

The Renewable Energy India Expo 2025 brought together leaders from the energy sector. It also brought new ideas, upgraded technology, and strong industry partnerships. At Mojo4Industry, we were pleased to speak with Mr. I.D. RA, Managing Director of Palm Systems and Services, also known as Palm Power. The company is known for high-performance inverters and control solutions for solar power projects across India.

In this conversation, Mr. RA shared insights on Palm Power’s new product launches, global expansion, market challenges, and the changing needs of the renewable energy sector.

New Product Launches at REI 2025

Palm Power entered REI 2025 with a clear focus. They wanted to highlight solutions that bring higher reliability, better performance, and long-term value to customers.

Power Sync: A Breakthrough for Industrial Loads

The most important product at their booth this year is Power Sync, a new technology designed for industrial applications up to 1 MW. Mr. RA describes Power Sync as a system that can draw energy from multiple sources without interruption. It keeps loads running even when the input source changes. This makes it ideal for factories, commercial spaces, and large solar installations.

Many refer to Power Sync as a “magic box” because of its flexible use cases. This is the first time the solution has been introduced in India. According to Palm Power, even global competitors do not offer this type of product today.

IP66 Hybrid Inverters With ESS Functions

Palm Power also launched a new series of IP66 hybrid inverters. These inverters come with built-in Energy Storage System (ESS) functions. They range from 3 kW to 50 kW. They are fully programmable and designed to handle tough environmental conditions. The IP66 protection rating ensures dustproof and waterproof performance.

New BIS-Certified Solid Inverters

The company also brought upgraded solid inverters with new BIS certifications. These certifications became mandatory in mid-2024. The new products meet the updated standards and bring higher safety and reliability.

Palm Power also displayed their 180 kW EV charger, which now holds the required approvals. The charger is being showcased in both the REI Hall and the Battery Show pavilion, as Palm Power has two stalls at this year’s event.

Standing Out in a Competitive Market

The solar inverter segment has strong competition. Many brands offer products with similar features. But Palm Power takes a different path.

Mr. RA explained that the company does not join the race of low-cost manufacturing. Their goal is simple. They want to build quality products. They want to deliver high efficiency and high reliability. They want to ensure every inverter lasts longer and delivers stable performance.

He also shared that the company prefers “good business” over “big business.” This means they choose quality over scale. They prefer serving customers who value reliability over low prices.

This approach has helped Palm Power earn trust across India. It has also helped them build a reputation in global markets.

Growing Presence Across the World

Palm Power has expanded beyond India over the years. They have active projects and partnerships in:

  • Middle East

  • Africa

  • Australia

  • South America

They have also received recognition for their work. Mr. RA recently showed us an award from the Government of Dubai. The company sees strong interest from global partners. Many inquiries continue to come from abroad.

The company believes that long-term success takes time. They are taking careful steps while entering new regions. They want to make sure they offer strong support for every country they serve.

Innovations to Meet Emerging Market Needs

The renewable energy sector is growing fast. It needs flexible solutions. It needs advanced communication features. It needs systems that can work with future upgrades.

Palm Power is focused on:

  • New hybrid inverter upgrades

  • New hardware

  • Better software

  • Smarter communication modules

  • Custom solutions for large clients

Their goal is to stay ahead of changing customer needs. They also want to address rising expectations for reliability and long-term service.

Trends and Challenges in the Solar Inverter Market

India’s solar market continues to expand. Many companies are seeing good growth. Most installations also generate repeated business because equipment needs replacement after 8–10 years.

Solar panels may last 25 years. But inverters do not have the same life span. This gap leads to recurring demand, which helps the inverter market remain strong.

However, the sector also faces challenges.

Higher Certification Costs

New BIS and BESS certifications have become mandatory. These certifications improve safety and performance. But they also increase costs. Testing and certification for energy storage products may cost more than $1–2 million. This makes compliance difficult for smaller brands.

Need for Quality Products

Many customers today face problems due to low-quality inverters. Some small manufacturers are not able to provide long-term service or spare parts. When such companies shut down, customers are left without support. This creates frustration and leads to system failures.

Palm Power advises customers and integrators to check the credibility of manufacturers before making purchases. They should focus on quality and service life rather than price alone. This helps protect end users and ensures safe installations.

A Message for Partners and Customers

As the conversation ended, Mr. RA shared an important message. He urged customers and integrators to choose reliable products. He stressed the need to support manufacturers who offer good service and long-term commitment. He believes this approach protects consumers and strengthens the renewable energy ecosystem.

Moving Forward With Clear Purpose

Palm Power continues to build products that reflect strong engineering and deep industry knowledge. Their work at REI 2025 highlights their commitment to innovation and quality. As India’s solar market grows, companies like Palm Power will play a key role in improving stability, efficiency, and long-term performance.
