Indian Oil Joins Hands with humsafar in their Journey of ‘Safar20’

Indian Oil Corporation  (IOC) along with Humsafar India – a Delhi headquartered start-up that has launched a state of the art-user friendly app for doorstep diesel delivery service called ‘Fuel Humsafar’, has begun doorstep delivery of diesel in 20 litres ‘Safar20’  jerry cans in Karnal in the state of Haryana, for customers seeking diesel in quantities as low as 20 litres.

“This 20 litres jerry can diesel at doorstep service starting from Haryana’s agriculture and  industrial town Karnal  will benefit small housing societies, malls, hospitals, banks, construction sites, farmers, mobile towers, education institutes along small industries,” said Sanjay Sinha , Chief General Manager, Delhi and Haryana state office , Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) while launching the service.

“After catering to bulk supply customers through diesel door delivery, the wave of home delivery offering convenience in small quantities of 20 litres in Jerry cans will be a hit among small requirement customers. The shift from having to go to an outlet carrying a 20 litre plastic can against having one delivered at your doorstep is bound to be a success,” said Sinha.

He adds, “This jerry can  service aims to ensure a hassle-free supply of the fuel directly to end-users and also avoid unnecessary fuel spillage, unsafe handling, and/or pilferages. The Jerry Can is PESO approved and comes sealed with a seven-wire seal, having a unique number.  Hence, no adulteration and pilferage in between transportation can exist.”

Sanya Goel, Founder and director of Humsafar India said, “Doorstep diesel delivery is a new revolution in the field of energy distribution in Karnal ,Haryana and adjoining areas which is easing the lives of the end-consumers without the usual hassles of diesel procurement. Doorstep diesel delivery is approved by the government and is a new-age concept of effective distribution of diesel. It allows fuel start-ups to maintain quality and create availability of fuel for the consumers.”

She adds, “Earlier, the consumers of diesel had to procure it from retail outlets in barrels which used to cause a lot of spillage and dead mileage in energy procurement. Efficient energy distribution infrastructure was lacking. Doorstep diesel delivery will solve many such problems and will provide diesel to bulk consumers in a legal manner. Further more, we have leveraged technology optimally to create a user friendly app, by the name of Fuel Humsafar, that allows easy ordering and tracking of the invaluable fuel.”

“Doorstep diesel delivery in ‘safar20’ jerry cans  will solve many such problems and will provide diesel to bulk consumers in a legal manner. We’ve used technology to make diesel delivery as hassle-free as possible. We have live tracking and automated billing features with assured quantity and quality. The mobile fuel dispenser will remain locked till it reaches the destination ensuring there is no wastage or pilferage,” said Dilpreet Sadana, Co-founder and Director of Operations, Humsafar India.
